During Blue Star Welcome Week, our library makes military families feel welcome in our community.
We have a database of resources for veterans, VetNow. VetNow is an all-in-one suite of free services designed for a wide range of veteran needs. Access the self-study tools, and/or get live, on-demand assistance from expert Job Coaches or Veteran Navigators.
During Blue Star Welcome Week, we are collecting supplies for the James H. Quillen VA Hospital. This collection will begin on September 15 and continue through September 30. We will have a donation box at each of our libraries.
The hospital is in need of the following:
Patient Clothing: Colored t-shirts sizes medium and up, boxer briefs (new, all sizes)
Patient comfort items (travel size): disposable razors, shaving cream/gel, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion
Other: Laundry detergent, puzzle books
