Community Displays and Exhibits
The Washington County Public Library welcomes exhibits and displays of interest, information and enlightenment to the community. The Library retains priority rights to all exhibit and display space for library purposes. Approval for all exhibits and displays rests with the Library Director or appointed designee.
The Library Board reserves the right to reject or remove any display or item which, in the judgment of the library administration, is illegal; whose subject matter is deemed inappropriate for the Library audience, or which may interfere with the operation of the Library.
The Library assumes no responsibility for the preservation, protection, or possible damage or theft of any item displayed or exhibited. All items placed in the Library are done so at the owner’s risk.
Exhibit and display space is available to groups or individuals, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting this service. A request for a display concerning a public issue must indicate that all aspects of the issue will be presented in an equal manner. The Library reserves the right to limit the size and number of items, the schedule of any display and the frequency with which the group or organization may have a display.
