Sunday with Friends: William Sikes

March 9, 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Meet William Sikes, the author of “The End of Meaning: Cultural Change in America Since 1945.” Toward the end of the 20th century, many became anxious about the collapse and decline of the institutions which gave meaning to people’s lives. In this book, Sikes explores the forces that have brought about the extraordinary decline in our families and communities, universities and religious institutions, films and popular music, literature and fine arts, and more. Sikes has degrees from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania. He is also an artist and author of “The Psychological Roots of Modernism: Picasso and Jung.”
